About Anusha:
Anusha is a graduate in Journalism from the University of Delhi and hails from a town in Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur. She did her schooling from her St. Xavier’s’ High School Jabalpur. She also served as the General Secretary of the College Students Union. A regular debater in the University and the recipient of many prizes she also took active part in University theatre and street plays. She has also worked with an international Journalist Sarah Davison on her projects from India and has done work for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and the Newspaper from Gulf ‘The Nation’. She also has deep interest in national and international politics, religious issues and socio-political dynamics and is a voracious reader. Her father is a theatre personality, born and brought up in a traditionally progressive family she deeply believes in bringing the change by conserving her roots.

Why Anusha thinks she should become Star Anchor:
Journalism for me has been my life. Despite of initial hurdles, this profession comes naturally to me. The art of asking questions and comprehending the problems for the masses, I aspire to bring a change through my work. I ask informed and critical questions. Journalism for me is still about the fourth estate principles and is not about the concept of selling news and commercial journalism. I still believe that a social model of media has to evolve; in the meanwhile the professionals in the field of Journalism have to be vigilant and careful that Journalism evolves freely and fearlessly in India. Journalism for me is principles and in no way a profession.
