lity with multiple skills, Ritika comes across as a person of substance. She has completed her PG diploma in Radio & Television Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. Ritika is presently working as a Correspondent cum Associate Producer  for a news agency.  She has worked for national broadcasters DD NEWS as an Anchor and  Correspondent for three years. As a news correspondent she has reported extensively on social issues, politics, international affairs, economy and has travelled to the various parts of country and abroad. Being a Science Graduate, she has been passionately covering Science, Technology and Environment related issues. Ritika has done live news anchoring and special shows and also handled many breaking news situations with lot of integrity. She has been an international fellow to Germany’s International Broadcasters, Radio Deutsche Welle in Bonn (Germany) for two months. Along with a young Pakistani journalist, Ritika has worked on a unique project for increasing Indo-Pak cooperation as part of her fellowship. On personal front, Ritika is an avid yoga fan and has been practicing it since last nine years. She is spiritual and loves to connect with nature. Ritika writes Hindi poetry, loves to dance and reads almost anything which grabs her attention.

I believe, I am made for this. Not only my track record speaks for itself but also my insatiable thirst for something new all the time, keeps me going. I love to communicate and have a deep understanding of things and people around me. To understand people and cultures, it really helps to listen to them and know the language they speak. My hobby of learning languages helps me to do so. I am fluent in Hindi, English, Bhojpuri, Urdu, German and learning Bengali these days. In addition to the academic qualifications suitable for a responsible profession like the news business; I also have a nose for news. I want to be among the first ones’ to know what’s happening in any part of the world. While anchoring I say things clearly and responsibly to keep our viewers informed and updated. I want to become a credible face of the channel as well as the whole journalistic fraternity. Star News has given this amazing opportunity to young people like us a platform to show how deep our conviction is to be a part of such an endeavor which shapes the thought process of our country. Till prelim rounds, judges have liked my knowledge and warm personality. In excellent mentorship of Star Anchor Hunt team, I am confident of enhancing my skills and making it big in media one day.
